Autonomous Robotics (MEM1883-01)
This course gives the students an in-depth treatment of main aspects of autonomous mobile robotics namely mechanism & locomotion, intelligence in mobile robotics and sensor fusion for autonomous decision making capability. Student should be able to evaluate the design and the sensor fusion of multiple sensors. The course also requires students to be able to programming multi-robot system for navigation, and work in teams to solve mobile robot design and multi-legged robot assignments. This course blends knowledge derived in-house with actual physical world autonomous mobile robotics, hence providing the unique experimental learning geared towards carrying out research. By adapting the knowledge the students will be able to design multi-robot system with navigation capability and analyse mobile robotics in intelligent tasks and multi-robot cooperation.
